Offshore Service Technician

At IQIP, located in Sliedrecht, we are looking for an adventurous Service Technician who is ready for a career where every day is different. This is the kind of job where you might sometimes fly to work by helicopter! As a market leader in installing foundations for both the onshore and offshore markets, we offer you the chance to work on the sustainability of the world. With about 350 colleagues worldwide, we work on smart solutions for the Offshore Wind, Coastal & Civil, Decommissioning, and Oil & Gas markets.

Are you ready for adventure?

Are you looking for a job where you not only contribute to sustainable energy generation but also embrace adventure? Do you love working with large and innovative tools and deploying your technical skills and knowledge on large-scale projects? Do you feel at home in a dynamic environment where no day is the same, and where traveling – by helicopter to and from your work environment – is part of your job? Then IQIP is the place where your career takes off!

Your role as an Offshore Service Technician:

As an Offshore Service Technician, you are the heart of our operations at locations around the world. You work on the installation of foundations for offshore wind farms, which provide thousands of households with green electricity. This means working outdoors, at sea, where you literally and figuratively rise above yourself.

Your tasks include independently maintaining, repairing, commissioning, and (digitally) operating our hydraulic equipment. You work not only in the Netherlands but also internationally, with a focus on Europe. When you are not on a project, you work at our yard in Sliedrecht. There, you often work on the equipment that you will use on your next project.

Who are we looking for?

  • A technician with a passion for hydraulics/electricity, a self-starter who successfully completes projects.
  • Someone who functions well under time pressure, is service-oriented and flexible.
  • Safety and goal orientation are paramount in your work.
  • Certificates are a plus. (BOSIET/FOET OPITO)
  • You take ownership – you do not wait, you act.
  • You are proficient in English, have a driving license B, and are willing to travel internationally.
  • An MBO education in, for example, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering is preferred, as is relevant work experience.

What do we offer?

  • A unique work experience where you often fly to your workplace by helicopter, making your job truly an adventure.
  • Training and education to prepare you for your first project.
  • A team of colleagues who welcome you with open arms and are eager to teach you everything about our technologies.
