EDVARD GRIEG PLEM

IQIP successfully participated in the installation of a PipeLine End Manifold (PLEM) for the new UHGP pipeline. This PLEM is a subsea connection point between the new UHGP pipeline and the SAGE pipeline system which allows oil & gas transport from the Norwegian sector to the UK sector.

EFFICIENT & SAFE INSTALLATION OF PILES

The IQIP scope consisted of installation of four 24” PLEM piles to keep the manifold in place. The piles were safely upended and lifted using an IQIP ILT 24-42 Internal Lifting Tool.

After efficient stabbing of the piles into the PLEM-structure, pile driving was faultlessly performed by an IQIP S-90 Hydrohammer.

Significant time savings were achieved as the hammer, sleeve and follower were upended in one-lift using a unique Upending & Transportation Frame.
