We’re eager to support Jan De Nul and RWE in the installation of the monopiles at the 1.1 GW Thor offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea.
So far, 30 out of 72 monopiles have been installed from Jan De Nul’s Les Alizés using IQIP’s Hydrohammer® IQ6 — the world’s most powerful hydraulic hammer, capable of delivering up to 6,600 kJ of energy to drive the next generation of larger monopiles into the seabed.
This milestone highlights the strength of the collaboration between IQIP, Jan De Nul, and RWE. We’re truly grateful for the trust and teamwork that make projects like this possible.
Thor is a joint offshore wind project of RWE (51%) and Norges Bank Investment Management (49%).
Once completed in 2027, Thor will generate enough renewable energy to power over one million Danish households.
Let’s keep building the future of offshore wind — together!
