The new Power Unit enhances the controllability of power and speed across our Hydrohammer IQ-series impact hammers — from the first gentle blows to full-force boosted impact. A complementary compact 10-foot container delivers maximum control: high-energy driving and soft starts, all in a single unit.

Improved booster mode performance
As offshore wind projects grow in scale, driving larger monopiles through high-resistance soils demands more energy. Our Hydrohammer® IQ‑series already features a booster function that increases the hammer’s energy capacity beyond 120%. The new Power Unit ensures the blow rate is maximized in booster mode, enabling fast and predictable pile driving all the way to final penetration.

Greater soft start precision
At the start of piling, precision and safety are key. The Power Unit improves soft start functionality, gradually increasing hammer energy from just 5%. This reduces the risk of pile run, ensures secure pile placement, and supports marine mammal mitigation strategies by allowing wildlife time to move away before full energy is applied.
