Your work

As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for the design, integration and optimisation of electrical systems within IQIP’s heavy installation equipment. You translate system requirements into reliable electrical architectures and ensure seamless integration with mechanical, hydraulic and control systems.

You coordinate cable connections, develop system sheets and technical documentation, and safeguard compliance with applicable standards. From concept development and detailed engineering to testing and commissioning, you are involved throughout the complete lifecycle of the equipment. Your work ensures safe, robust and future-proof electrical solutions for challenging offshore and onshore environments.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Define electrical system requirements and prepare detailed technical specifications

  • Design and integrate electrical power, distribution and control systems

  • Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation using EPLAN P8 and related tools

  • Manage the full lifecycle of electrical systems from concept through testing and maintenance

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, classification rules and project requirements

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including automation, hydraulics and software engineering

  • Support system integration, testing and troubleshooting at the yard and during commissioning

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and implementation of innovative technologies

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Proven experience in electrical system design and integration, preferably in maritime, offshore or heavy equipment environments

  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary systems combining electrical, mechanical and control components

  • Experience with engineering tools such as EPLAN P8, Teamcenter and Solid Edge

  • Analytical and structured approach to complex technical challenges

  • Ability to manage technical scope within projects from concept to completion

  • Proactive team player with strong communication skills in an international setting
