Systems Engineer

Contributing directly to groundbreaking projects that shape the foundation of sustainable energy and infrastructure worldwide. What is on our roadmap, you ask? We are constantly improving our own equipment to the highest standard. As an example, we need to adjust standard equipment to the latest subsea technologies together with a team of specialist and suppliers we meet the market wishes. 

 

Your Work 
As a Systems Engineer at IQIP, you will be responsible for the design, integration, and optimization of systems within our heavy equipment. Operating from our Yard in Sliedrecht, you will bridge the gap between various technical disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration and performance of our advanced products. Your expertise will create robust, reliable, and future-proof systems, enabling us to meet the demands of our users.  

Your Responsibilities 

  • Define system requirements and create detailed specifications to guide the development of complex, integrated solutions 

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of systems, from concept and design through implementation, testing, and maintenance. 

  • Ensure systems are optimized for functionality, reliability, and scalability while meeting regulatory and safety standards. 

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including automation, hydraulics, and software experts, to develop cohesive and effective systems. 

  • Support the integration, testing, and troubleshooting of systems on-site and during the commissioning phase. 

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by implementing the latest technologies and methodologies into our systems. 

Your Profile 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in systems design and integration, ideally within the maritime, offshore, or heavy equipment industries. 

  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components. 

  • Knowledge of system modeling, simulation tools, and lifecycle management practices. 

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion. 

  • A collaborative mindset, with strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

  • Monthly salary based on your expertise and level, following the CAO Metalektro guidelines. 

  • 8% annual holiday allowance. 

  • 27 paid annual leave days and 13 additional days.
