Your work
As a Control Engineer, you are responsible for the design, development and integration of control and automation systems for IQIP’s heavy installation equipment. You translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions and ensure reliable system performance in demanding offshore and onshore environments.
You work closely with mechanical, hydraulic and software engineers to deliver integrated systems. From initial concept and detailed engineering to commissioning and optimisation, you are involved throughout the full project lifecycle. Your work directly contributes to safe, efficient and sustainable foundation and installation projects worldwide.
Your responsibilities

Develop functional descriptions and control philosophies for automation systems

Design and configure PLC and SCADA systems, mainly Siemens-based platforms

Integrate electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems into a reliable control architecture

Prepare electrical schematics and documentation using EPLAN P8 and related tools

Coordinate technical interfaces with internal departments, suppliers and clients

Support testing, commissioning and troubleshooting at the yard in Sliedrecht and on-site

Ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements

Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation of control systems
Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related field

Proven experience with PLC and SCADA systems, preferably Siemens

Knowledge of industrial automation and hydraulic control systems

Experience with engineering tools such as EPLAN P8, Teamcenter and Solid Edge

Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working

Ability to manage technical scope within complex projects

Proactive team player with good communication skills in an international environment
