Your work 

As our engineer specialist, you are a key technical specialist within your knowledge domain. You develop, maintain and apply advanced dynamic models to support the design, validation, and optimisation of IQIP’s high-quality installation and foundation equipment. You lead knowledge development projects on the technical areas in which you determine the need to invest to support IQIPs future technology developments. 

Your field of expertise within mechanical engineering system dynamics includes multibody systems, power-transmission systems, drive and control systems, and measurement technology. 

You work on projects for markets such as Offshore Wind, Coastal & Civil and Oil & Gas. Your work contributes directly to safe, efficient and reliable equipment performance. You create insight and technical understanding at the heart of our engineering challenges. You play an important role in embedding new insights into future products and project execution. 

Your responsibilities 

  • Execute and lead knowledge development projects within the team’s technical expertise 

  • Support or lead knowledge development projects within the engineering department 

  • Apply new knowledge and simulation outcomes to product development and ongoing projects 

  • Develop, validate and maintain dynamic models for installation and foundation equipment (MATLAB/Simulink/Python) 

  • Review and support engineering work of team members 

  • Build and maintain an external network with partners, research institutes and industry experts

Your profile 

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Maritime Engineering or a related technical field 

  • Strong background in mechanical engineering system dynamics, control systems, or measurement technology 

  • Experience with simulation tools and numerical modelling software such as MATLAB or Python 

  • 10+ years of experience in complex engineering environments, preferably within heavy equipment, offshore, maritime or related industries 

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
