IQIP, the global leader in pile driving and handling equipment, is looking for a Hydraulic System Engineer. Together with our 400 colleagues across the globe, we provide smart and sustainable solutions for a variety of projects. Our work extends both at sea, where we contribute to wind farm and oil & gas projects, and on land, where we engage in projects related to bridges and ports. You will be contributing to our equipment’s hydraulic and control systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.
Your work
As a Hydraulic System Engineer, you will primarily focus on designing hydraulic systems for new line prototypes and customer-specific one-off products such as hydraulic leveling templates, static/dynamic outrigger systems. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, to ensure the successful development and implementation of these systems. Your role involves managing the detailed engineering and production processes with our suppliers, commissioning, testing, and providing training for the hydraulic systems. Additionally, you will offer support for the improvement of our standard equipment and assist in troubleshooting and commissioning new products.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hydraulic systems for new prototypes and bespoke customer products.
- Oversee the engineering and manufacturing processes with our suppliers.
- Conduct commissioning and testing, including training for internal or external customers.
- Support standard equipment improvements and provide troubleshooting assistance.
- Collaborate with Production and Service departments to address and resolve malfunctions.
- Prepare and distribute documentation and certifications across the organization.
Your profile
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Have at least 4 years of experience in hydraulic system engineering, with a focus on complex, large-scale machinery.
- Demonstrated ability in FMEA analysis and the testing/commissioning of hydraulic systems.
- An understanding of electro-technical engineering and ability to interpret electro-technical drawings.
- Independent, result-oriented, and innovative, with a solution-focused approach and ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel locally or abroad for fieldwork or offshore projects.
- Flexible in task management and execution, with potential on-site work in Sliedrecht.
- Participation in an assessment may be required.
