As a key supplier of specialized equipment for the project, IQIP France has been providing essential rental machinery, including the S-30, S-40, and S-90 hammers, alongside the ICE 815C and 28RF models. These tools have been integral in driving the combi walls, which consist of both steel sheet piles and structural profiles, such as the AZ and HZM profiles. The combi walls are being used as retaining structures to stabilize the banks of the canal and support the construction of locks and other infrastructure elements. The AZ and HZM profiles are particularly suited to the high demands of this project due to their excellent load-bearing capabilities and resistance to corrosion, ensuring the long-term durability of the structures.
The combination of these profiles with IQIP’s high-performance Hydrohammer technology has proven critical in addressing some of the significant challenges faced on the Canal Seine Nord project. Hydrohammer’s unique capabilities, including its high impact energy and precision, allow for the efficient installation of large, heavy-duty profiles in challenging soil conditions. The Hydrohammer’s key features, such as its ability to minimize vibrations and noise during installation, are especially important for projects located in densely populated or environmentally sensitive areas, like the Canal Seine Nord.
