At IQIP, the global market leader in piling and installation solutions we are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sliedrecht. In this team of 7 people we are responsible for the technical part of quotations and orders for the projects based in Europe.
We are working worldwide with over 350 employees to build a sustainable world, and we do this by offering smart solutions in Offshore Wind, Coastal&Civil, Oil&Gas and Decommissioning markets.
We have a broad offering of equipment for rental and sale that we build at our yard in Sliedrecht, so you can literally see (and touch) what you worked on! It will be your job to make our equipment suitable for the projects of our customers by applying the requirements within already existing classification rules. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, has good communication skills and likes to connect with different departments within the organization to get the job done. You will be working in a dynamic and social environment.
As a Junior Mechanical Engineer in this team you will be responsible for:
- Supporting your team members with their projects by means of 2D & 3D design & engineering in SolidEdge
- Delivering engineering packages based on the company engineering standards, classification rules and project specific requirements
- Communicating effectively within the project team to solve challenges together
- Joining technical meetings with customers
Your profile:

- You have a completed Bsc degree in Mechanical Engineering
- You are looking for your first career step in a dynamic, international work environment
- To be successful you have excellent communication and interpersonal skill. You speak English on a professional level and we’d be very happy if you spoke Dutch, however it’s not a requirement
- You have a proactive mindset with a high initiative and problem-solving attitude, as well as being an analytic and adaptive engineer
- Affinity and some experience with CAD software, preferably SolidEdge
- You like to take ownership of your work
- You have a desire to work in a larger team where you can contribute your own ideas and learn from Senior Engineers
