Our valued client Scaldis recently completed their decommissioning campaign for Wintershall successfully. Despite challenging conditions, Scaldis efficiently removed 4 platforms within the scheduled time.
For this operation, IQIP supplied Scaldis with four rental Internal Lifting Tools (ILT) tailored for decommissioning. These ILTs were deployed on the Heavy Lift Vessel “Gulliver” for the operations. IQIP proudly notes that the ILTs operated with consistent safety and reliability.
Scaldis secured the contract to remove platforms and conductors for Wintershall’s decommissioning campaign, building on their successful campaign execution in 2022. These campaigns are integral to a comprehensive decommissioning and asset removal initiative in the North Sea, aligning with the full operational cycle of Wintershall Noordzee.
